Merry Christmas Ornaments WIP

I managed to find time, this weekend, to stitch a bit on a new WIP....

Country Cottage Needleworks "Merry Christmas Ornaments"
I adore the colors!

I am stitching this sweet chart on 28ct Lambswool Jobelan using the charted DMC floss, and I plan on finishing it into a pillow for my rocking chair. I am also planning to stitch it's companion ornament that can be found in this years JCS ornament issue.

Home of A Needleworker Too

I have been making progress on my current LHN WIP

I had a small catastrophe when the cat found her way to my canvas for a long nap, but after my initial panic I was able to remove her fur and move ahead.

My First Ornament wip

I started my first ornament, an LHN treat from the JCS 2009 Special Ornament Issue (Pg 30), titled "Winter Sampler."

I am using a "scrap" of Platinum Jubilee , as well as the charted WDW floss: dandelion stem, joshua tree, roasted chestnut, toasted marshmallow, and wild berries, all from my stash.

I am going to finish it in a flat ornament style. I will share it with everyone when it is ready to hang.

I Am So Happy...

... to be joining you all, as I have been a follower in awe of everyone's beautiful projects and finishes. My name is Karyn and I am a 46 year old wife and mother from Southern New England, and I have been cross stitching since May of this year. I am learning as I go and, like all of you I have fallen in love with samplers and especially LHN and CCN.

Here is my first LHN finish, all it needs is a good pressing and framing, which will be done in the next few weeks, and I will show the finished product as soon as it is ready to hang. In the meantime here is my first LHN finish "Colonial Homes"

Thanks again for letting me join :)
