More eyecandy - Ladybug Ladybug

I am digging up some old photos since I am sorting out my flickr account. Keep finding some LHN pieces that I did before I joined this blog so I thought I would share them until I am up to date.

This is a piece I did for an Exchange over on SBEBB back in 2007. This was my first LHN piece and my first mattress pincushion. I love how this one turned out and will definitely stitch it again some day for myself.

A set of smalls

I made this cute little set of a mattress pincushion and a scissor fob for a friend as a PIF gift about a year ago. I think it turned out very well. I wrapped a ribbon through the sides and made a bow at the top for decoration.

I used a small portion of Little House Needleworks 'Wool Needlebook and Scissor Fob' stitched on 36ct Lakeside Linens 'Vintage Pear'

Notebook

I am going to show you some detailed pictures of the first notebook that I finished. I am absolutely in love with how it turned out.

Notebook cover

Pattern is from LHN's The Rain Fell. I changed it a lot to fit my ideas.
Fabric: Lakeside Linens River Willow 32ct
Threads: CCC and DMC

Sumarrós with the notebook

I added some pearl buttons to the back and a small charm. I wanted the book to be simple and plain and I think I managed that. I also love that fabric, it is just so beautiful!

Little Women Thread Packs - Finished as a Pillow

I decided to finish my Little Women Series as a pillow for my friend Tracy. The photo is a bit dark, but you get the idea.

A gift for Tracy

Here is a close up so that you can see the fabrics and the buttons on the corners better.

Included in the package to her was also this bourse I made for her out of Faith Thread Pack by Little House Needleworks.

Home Of A Needleworker (Too!)

Yay! I have a new finish :)
I really, really enjoyed stitching this pattern. The design is fun and very fitting for me and my needleworker home, the fabric is just gorgeous, the threads are fun and have beautiful color and variation to them and I love the finished result. I started this a while ago (about a month ago or so) but put it down while doing some finishing and knitting and other stuff, but I picked it up again today and managed to finish it.

Anyway, here are some pictures. I love the little details all over this pattern. I never really noticed them until I started stitching it.

Threads: CCC as recommended - except the heart on the house, it was charted as white but I thought it needed to be red

Little Woman Thread Packs

Hi everyone!

I thought I would start by showing you my most recent finish by LHN. I stitched the Little Woman series last year on one piece of fabric.

Little Women Series

I did some minor changes on them. I used a different color for the yellow in the Gardening piece and I used a different color for the blue in the Reading piece. Also, I did not stitch the eyes. I did it on the first one but ripped them out because I liked them better without them.

My favorite LHN finish so far is by far Little House Neighborhood. I just love it and have it hanging very close to my stitching area. I made a lot of changes to the pattern and threads and made it my own, but it is still very true to the original design.

You can see all my pictures that are tagged with LHN here on my flickr.
