Home of a Needleworker too

“Home is where the heart is”, sings Belle of the “Beauty and the Beast” cartoon and I happen to agree with her. My own heart has been living in a lovely blue cottage with a cocoa-coloured roof. Oh, I love this design dearly! It hangs above my bed and delights my eyes with its bright colours.

A Bluebell Cottage

One of the reasons why I love CCN designs is their seemingly simplicity which allows a vast field for experiments. For instance, one may try new threads like I did with this design. Please meet my “Bluebell Cottage” from the “Cottage Garden” series.

 Designer:  Country Cottage Needleworks
Name: “Bluebell”
Fabric: unknown fabric from my stash
Threads: Nina’s threads
To my point of view, the cottage is very positive, joyful and – the most important – it holds the spring atmosphere in it. Soon it’ll travel to its new owner!

Two little twin snowmen

A little snowman was born in the land covered with ice and snow all year round. He’d felt very lonely and had nobody to play with, so he decided to go travelling around the world in search of new friends. Fancy that, our snowman met his twin who had been born in sunny Bulgaria (a present from my friend Maria). They became friends very quickly. It’s much more fun to wait together for the Christmas to come, isn’t it?

A Bit of Warmth during Cold Autumn

When autumn evenings are becoming colder, it is especially pleasant and cozy to hang out with friends. I love spending time at the café with my friends drinking hot cocoa or coffee and chatting about current events (and about cross-stitching too!). When I come home, I can imprint my impressions of the happy moments on the evenweave with the help of a needle and chocolate-coloured threads. Do you like socializing with your friends as well?

Rose Cottage

I am happy to introduce you my new photoalbum. For a long time I’ve been admiring the flower cottages series by Country Cottage Needleworks and finally decided to cross-stitch one – the rose cottage which I liked most of all. Isn't it lovely?
