Rose Sampler

“She said that she would dance with me if I brought her red roses,” cried the young Student, “but in all my garden there is no red rose”. Definitely you know these words – they are the beginning of Oscar Wilde’s “Nightingale and Rose” fairy-tale. You may consider it mysterious, but I was being haunted by them until I cross-stitched the “Rose Sampler” design from LHN!
I love the framed work very much! It is a present for my friend Maria.

In Honor of Mama

My grandmother's name was Rose, but my brother and I just called her Mama. She passed away many years ago, but I still think of her often. So, when I saw this Limited Edition Rose Pocket, I knew I had to have it. Rose Sampler is stitched on 32ct Caramel Swirl Opalescent by Silkweaver. I haven't stitched it on the pocket yet, but you get the idea.

Now I will be able to be with my grandmother in thoughts and in stitches.

Here, the two samplers that I've already realized, Rose Sampler and Sunflower Sampler, they're both really cute! Rose Sampler has been my first ever LHN, stitched back already three years ago!
