Some updates

Hello LHN & CCN stitchers,
I've just updated the finishes lists and added a new page on blog members.
I've also refreshed the blog's look. Someone has experienced problems with the old one, which however didn't work properly anymore. Hope the new one will work better. Isn't it so fresh and suitable for upcoming summer?

Blog header updated - spring 2010

Hello stitchers,
I've changed the header photos taking them from the finishes posted by our stitchers.
The first picture on the left is A Place We Call Home stitched by Sheila, in the center Rose Cottage stitched by ElisaX, and The Bookshelf stitched by Gabriella on the right.

Making room space - Advise before deletion

As I someway preannounced here, I'm going to make a cleaning in the next days.
There are members who are subscribed without never posting or posting only the introduction or posted once or twice more than one year ago.
I'm sorry to make this but the blog is room limitated and other active stitchers are asking me to join.

These are the members I'm going to deactivate,
if you are one of them and still want to (actively) partecipate write me or leave a comment here before Sunday 14th:

I've compiled this list comparing the members' blog's list to the posts' list, I cannot remember when every single member has joined, so maybe there are members who have just joined and simply haven't hade the time to post. Just write me.

After Sunday 14th, I'll process with the deletion, leaving the post with finishes.
Members deleted who want me to deleted it can write me.
Members deleted who want to join again the blog and post their last LHN/CCN finishes can write me.
Members deleted who haven't had stitched LHN/CCN lately but still want to be part of the blog in order to post their next LHN/CCN finishes can write me.

Blog updates

I've added two pages to the blog: LHN finishes list and CCN finishes list.
If you have suggestions on other useful pages, please comment this post.
Any help will be really appreciated.

I wish to remember again the main rules, especially focus on:
use labels;
respect copyrights;
use your signature at every post (I'll create it for you the first time you post);
don't format the text (don't use special colors, fonts of other things).
A person has been recentely banned because of not respecting Diane's copyrights.

Another thing: writing the new pages, I've seen many members who have only posted own introduction or one single post, even if they have other LHN and/or CCN finishes. If you're not interested on posting here anymore, please advise me, as the room has almost full and other stitchers have asked to be admitted.

AngelaP: Your unique post has photos with dead links so they aren't showable. I've seen on your blog you have other LHN finishes. Referring to the previous note, if you're not interested on posting here anymore, please advise me.

Hello stitchers,

The first picture on the left is January stitched by Carin, in the center the Winter Sampler ornament stitched by Karyn, and Let it Snow ornament stitched by Aubree on the right.

I wish to remember the rules to all the members

They are:
post and comment in English;
use labels;
post only LHN and CCN photos;
max photo width of 500 pixels (link it to a bigger one);
respect netiquette;
use your signature at every post (I'll create it for you the first time you post);
don't format the text (don't use special colors, fonts of other things);
put the blog logo into your blog with the link to this blog.

Really simple, aren't they?
So, please, respect them.

Blog look

Hello stitchers,
I've finally found a layout which adapts to our necessities.
I've used some photos of the finishes posted by our stitchers to decorate the header.
The photos (and the author's photos) will change periodically, according to the seasons.
The first pictures are Tea room fob stitched by Loreta, Iced Tea stitched by me, and Cupcake stitched by Dovilè.

Technical problems

Without any apparent reason, the home template of Blogger has getting crazy: the right column has fallen down (thank you Nina for advising me). I'm getting crazy too trying to solve this problem: almost every default template has this problem, likewise I cannot change the template to a more simple one...
For now, that's the template, without lists or utilities; I'll turn it back as soon as Blogger will answer my questions or solve the problem by itself, as I'm sure it's not depending on the blog.

Signatures

Hello stitchers,
just a note to let you know I'll create a personal signature for every contributor will join and post into this blog.
I'll make a signature once the member post the first time; you can copy the code from it.
What you have to do is:

1. login to blogger and go in the dashboard;
2. select "modify post": you can modify only the posts you've created;
   
3. go to your last post, where I put your signature for you and press "modify";
4. go to the "HTML modify" label, at the left of the "Write" label;
5. go to the end of the post and copy the code (it starts with a and continue with div style="text-align ...)
   
6. copy it in a doc file, to conserve it for the future.
   
   OR
7. copy the signature and the link blog directly in the "write label" and past in the new post.
   

When you'll write your new post, go to the HTML modify label and paste the code you've saved; you'll have your signature at the end of your new post!

Write me if you have some difficulties.
